Aaron B. Jacobs & Eunice I. Jacobs Memorial Fund
Welcome to our Aaron B. Jacobs & Eunice I. Jacobs Memorial Fund which has been established for the purpose of providing college scholarships to students who have demonstrated a high degree of academic proficiency in the physical sciences at the community college level, and who desire to pursue a course of study in chemistry, biochemistry, or chemical engineering, leading to a bachelor’s degree.
Our Foundation
The Aaron B. Jacobs and Eunice I. Jacobs Memorial Fund was created in 2024 to honor the legacy of AI and Rene Jacobs whose passion for science and education transformed countless lives. Our mission is to support talented community college students who excel in chemistry and are ready to take the next step toward a four-year degree.
We believe that potential—not financial circumstance—should determine a student’s future. Our scholarship empowers promising scholars to transfer to accredited four-year colleges and universities, complete their bachelor’s degrees, and pursue meaningful careers in science.
By investing in these students, we strengthen the scientific workforce, expand opportunities in underserved communities, and help build the next generation of chemists, researchers, educators, and innovators.
Why It Matters
Empower Students
Scholarships allow recipients to focus fully on their studies and transfer to four-year institutions.
Strengthen Workforce
We invest in future chemists, researchers, and educators for California’s scientific community.
Expand Opportunity
Targeted support opens paths for students from underrepresented or underserved communities.
We aim at inspiring students to dream more, learn more, do more, and become more in their respective journeys of life.

Management & Operations
The Trustees of the Foundation will raise funds through, investments, solicitation of donations from private citizens, organizations and businesses, and the general public, as well as by other means.
The funds thus raised will produce an income flow which will be distributed by the Trustees to the scholarship recipients for a period of 2 years based on their grade requirments. The funds will enable each award recipient to devote his or her full time and attention to the course of study.
General Guidelines
To be selected, the student must meet certain requirements established between the Board of Selection and the college faculty of the community college.
The qualified student must be US citizen or hold a permanent Resident Card.
However, the qualified students want to allsaken at it is not the intent of the Trustees to predicate a scholarship award, upon a student’s financial need, and the Board of Selection is free to give whatever consideration to the student’s finances that it feels is consistent with the Foundation’s stated intent.
About Us
Founded in 2024 to honor Aaron and Eunice Jacobs, our Foundation supports talented community college students who demonstrate excellence in the physical sciences. We believe potential — not financial circumstance — should shape a student’s future.
